Surgeries

We endeavour to offer Haydon Wick residents a range of opportunities to engage with us. If you are not a resident of Haydon Wick ward visit the Swindon Council site for contact details of your ward councillors. In addition to telephone, letter, email, Facebook, Twitter and public meetings we provide the following opportunities:

  • A general monthly advice surgery face-to face
  • Ad hoc advice surgeries in sheltered schems by arrangement
  • Individual meetings by arrangement
  • David offers isurgeries

Full details of these surgeries are shown below.

General Advice Surgeries Open to All Residents

Above - Cllrs Rex Barnett, David Renard and Ian Dobie at one of the regular Haydon Wick Ward advice surgeries.

Our successful advice surgeries for Haydon Wick Ward residents have been running since 2004. No appointment is needed and residents are invited to come along with any problems or issues they wish to raise.

The local Police have been attending our surgeries since April 2007 to give advice and assistance on any Law and Order related issues.

If residents prefer the Police not to be present during the meeting, we are happy to arrange that.

David says "Do join us and the Police in the comfortable and private surroundings of the Parish Council offices. We want to hear about any issues you want to raise".

We, your local Councillors, look forward to seeing you.

Venue: Haydon Wick Parish Council Offices, Thames Avenue

Time: 9am to 10am
Second Saturday of each month.

A full list of forthcoming dates are listed on our Calendar of Events

Sheltered Schemes

By arrangement, we hold advice surgeries in sheletered schemes around the ward. These are usually held about every 6 months but will also visit to discuss specific issues with residents when they arise.

Private Meetings

If residents are unable to attend one of our general of sheltered surgeries or feel it is more appropriate that we meet privately, we are happy to arrange a meeting by mutual agreement.

isurgeries

David is now offering surgeries through the Internet using Skype. Residents must have a computer with the software installed to use this facility with both the resident and David online at the time. David's user name is david_renard. David will agree a mutually convenient time in advance on request.
