Areas adjacent to the Haydon Brook and in the old village of Haydon Wick have become susceptible to flooding in recent times.
We will be working with the Environment Agency, Thames Water and Swindon Borough Council to find ways of alleviating the problems.

Insurance Cover
Some residents have raised with us that they are having problems with their insurance renewals. Companies are either not offering premiums or they are increasing them substantially or the excess is increasing dramatically - in some cases both premiums and excesses are rocketing.
The Council may be able to offer assistance in providing some reassurance to insurance companies about what work has happened or is planned to alleviate potential flooding problems.
If residents are having such difficulties, they should contact Denis Cole in the Council's Highways department on dcole@swindon.gov.uk and he will provide the relevant documentary evidence.
